Sound and character
Although this is a cleaning tool, it has an indirect yet important effect on the sound quality of your instrument. If you regularly remove dust from between the strings and from inside the resonating box, your monochord or singing bowl will sound clearer and more open. The fine bristles treat strings and wood gently, without causing micro-damage.
How to use
It will be especially useful if you actively and regularly play your instruments:
- Removing dust and lint from between the strings of monochords and Monolinas.
- Sweeping the lower and inner spaces of sound beds and sound boards.
- Gently cleaning the rims and inner surfaces of singing bowls.
- Quick check-ups before demonstrations or therapy sessions.
Why this product
Thanks to its flexible wire shaft, the brush bends easily between the strings and reaches into narrow soundbox openings. The soft bristles do not scratch the wood or deform the strings. If you take seriously the longevity and cleanliness of your instruments, this is a simple yet indispensable helper.
Care tips
- Brush each string gap once a week, especially if you share the space with pets.
- Brush along the strings, not across them.
- Keep the brush in a dry, dust-protected place, ideally next to the instrument.
- From time to time clean the brush itself — a soft cloth wipe removes accumulated dust.
