Perun is a yellow cocktail tomato that you will easily recognise by its small, pear-shaped fruits. It is a vigorous, indeterminate and prolific variety.
Small, yellow, pear-shaped fruits
Its fruits are small, 15–20 g each, pear-shaped and yellow. As a prolific variety, it produces plenty of fruit on each plant.
Growing tall with support
Perun’s stems keep growing throughout the season, so it needs support. Tie it to a stake or a taut string, and keep tying it in as it grows. Regularly remove the side shoots that appear where the leaves meet the stem.
Planting out, feeding and picking until the frosts
Tomatoes are best raised from seedlings. When planting out, you can set the seedlings deeper than they stood in their pots. Give the plants a liquid feed every two weeks. Perun crops continuously until the frosts, so you can pick fresh cocktail tomatoes not only in summer but in autumn too.
