Many people rinse and 'recharge' their crystals regularly – this small set gives a ready helper for exactly that. The 100 g of rock crystal and 150 g of hematite chips are enough for smaller pieces: a necklace, a bracelet or a tumblestone.
The two minerals in tradition
Rock crystal is a colourless, transparent quartz that tradition knows as a strengthener of intention and a clearer of space; many regard it as the stone of 'recharging'. Hematite is an iron-bearing mineral with a metallic sheen, which tradition holds to be self-cleansing and not in need of separate rinsing. These are traditional meanings, not facts.
How to use it
Place the stones of the set in a bowl or, for example, in an abalone shell. Set the crystal or piece of jewellery you wish to cleanse on top, and leave it there overnight. Tradition suggests this about once a month; in a busier setting full of stimulation it can be done more often.
Caring for the set
Refresh the stones of the set from time to time: in the evening hold them in a glass bowl under a trickling tap, or place them on a windowsill in the light of the full moon overnight. By morning they are ready to use again. The stones are natural products, so colour, shape and size may vary from piece to piece.
