Microphone Adapter Plate for Cajon

Velcro-mounted metal microphone holder plate for cajon with a universal 3/8 inch thread. Lets you position the microphone freely on the instrument body.

Puts the microphone exactly where it sounds best

If you want to amplify or record your cajon, microphone placement is always the biggest question. This simple, well-conceived adapter plate lets you fix the microphone directly on the cajon body, at any point you choose - no need to squeeze a separate mic stand behind the instrument.

Universal thread for many microphones

The holder features a standard 3/8 inch screw thread that accepts common microphone clamps and goosenecks. That means practically any microphone type intended for cajon can be mounted using the accessories you already own.

Velcro mounting that also protects your sound

The plate attaches to the cajon body with Velcro and a fleece layer, so fitting and removing it takes only moments - no glue, no drilling. The fleece layer also decouples the holder acoustically from the body, keeping box vibrations out of the microphone for a cleaner signal.

Compact size, durable build

The powder-coated metal plate measures 12 × 7 × 4 cm and weighs just 165 grams, so it does not affect the sound or handling of your cajon. Made in Germany, it is a simple and rugged solution for anyone who regularly mics up their instrument.

What to watch when recording

The distance between microphone and sound hole strongly shapes the result: closer gives a deeper, fuller recording, further back captures more air and the body of the instrument. Test a few positions with short takes first.
