A red bag for St Nicholas' Day parcels
In early December, families, nurseries and schools put together St Nicholas' Day parcels. If you are making one too, you can fill this red bag with szaloncukor (Hungarian Christmas sweets), walnuts, Linzer biscuits or a few pieces of gingerbread. Because it is meant for packing food, these treats can go straight in.

The same winter picture is printed on both sides: “Merry Christmas” lettering, falling snowflakes and snow-laden fir trees, with Father Christmas, a penguin and a reindeer at the very bottom. The bag is made of plastic (polyethylene) with a matt surface.
Ribbon-tied, and stands up when full
A gold-coloured satin ribbon gathers the opening, and its two ends tie into a bow; the ribbon is made of polyester. The base widens to about 6.5 cm, so a filled bag stands upright and can take a box as well. It is approx. 23 cm wide and 33 cm high, with 24 cm below the ribbon, and sizes may vary slightly. If you need little gifts for a whole class or team, a row of matching red bags looks wonderfully festive.
