This glycerin-based melt-and-pour soap base is the most welcoming way into soap making at home. The 475 g kit is ready to melt down on a low heat, colour, scent and pour into moulds — no chemistry, no lye and no curing time beyond letting the bars set.
How it works
Cut the soap base into small cubes and melt gently in a double boiler or microwave until just liquid. Stir in a soap-safe colourant and a few drops of fragrance or essential oil, then pour into your chosen mould. Once the bar is firm to the touch — usually within an hour or two — it is ready to unmould and use.
Why melt and pour
Compared with cold-process soap making, melt and pour is faster, simpler and far more forgiving — well suited to first-time makers, family activities and gift projects. The finished bars lather gently and leave the skin feeling clean rather than tight.

Storage
Keep the soap base in its packaging in a cool, dry place. Once a kit is opened, wrap any leftover base tightly to keep moisture and dust away. Properly stored, the base keeps its character well between soap-making sessions.
