The MEINL Wind Gongs are traditionally handcrafted in China using a special bronze alloy. Each gong is made by hand, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship and excellent acoustic performance. These gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs, and their unique shape sets them apart from other gongs.

MEINL Wind Gongs feature an almost flat shape, which allows the gong’s sound to fully open up. This design results in the gong’s vibrations spreading across a wide range and sustaining for a long time. Deep Tones and Sizzling Overtones
The sound of the MEINL Wind Gongs is primarily deep-toned, which dominates with softer strikes. However, with stronger playing, the gong beautifully opens up and produces wave-like overtones that enrich the sound.
