Feng or Sun Gong – Unique Shape and Sound
MEINL Wind Gongs are also known as Feng or Sun Gongs. These gongs take on an almost flat shape, allowing them to fully open up. This flat shape ensures that the gong’s sound spreads across a wide spectrum and sustains for a long time. This unique form guarantees the best resonance, delivering a rich, clear sound for the player.
Deep Tones and Sizzling Overtones
One of the most important features of the MEINL Wind Gongs is their deep tones, which dominate with softer strikes. Available Sizes and Accessories
MEINL Wind Gongs are available in various sizes, ranging from 12" (30 cm) in diameter to 48" (120 cm). Each gong comes with an appropriately sized mallet to help maximize the gong’s acoustic performance. The gong is also supplied with a cover to protect it when not in use.
