Its tall padded wall is shaped like a crown at the top. The bed is 50 × 50 cm, 26 cm high and weighs 0.84 kg. It is sandy brown outside and grey inside, with a deep, soft cushion in the middle. The cover is polyester, the filling synthetic fibre, and it is made in China.
Rounded shape, high wall
The corners are rounded and the sides and back are raised, so your pet is supported all round, a bit like sinking into an armchair. It is meant for cats and small dogs, especially those that like to rest propped up and tucked in. Compared with the small sofa bed, it is the same size but rounder and lighter.
A 50 × 50 cm base needs little room and fits in a bedroom corner or under a window. At just 0.84 kg, the bed is easy to lift aside when you clean.
Sand and grey
The two colours are understated, so the playful shape doesn't look loud. It suits light parquet, a grey sofa or a beige rug, and in a bedroom it goes with bedding and curtains too. On the grey inside, neither light nor dark hair stands out as much as it would on white or black.
If you prefer black, the crown bed also comes in a larger 60 × 60 cm black and grey version.
What to do when it arrives
Vacuum packing leaves the crown flat and creased at first. Loosen the filling and leave it in a warm room for a few days. The wall and the cushion gradually regain their shape.
For the first few days, an old jumper you've worn can go inside. The familiar smell helps many pets claim the bed sooner.
