Medium African Morocco Stones – Sodalite

Sodalite is a member of the lazurite group – its deep blue appearance, threaded with white calcite veins, is often confused with lapis lazuli, though it is more affordable and accessible. Our medium-sized sodalite tumbled stones are imported directly from Africa in natural, untreated form. Traditionally symbolically associated with logic, intuitive thinking and inner balance – but above all, it is a visually stunning deep blue mineral that will immediately be a striking element on any shelf or desk.

Technical Data

Characteristics

Sodalite's deep blue base colour is broken by white, milky calcite veins – this contrast makes the stone particularly visually interesting. In some pieces the blue is almost uniform, while in others the white veining pattern is complex and decorative. After polishing, the surface is slightly shiny and pleasant to the touch. It is also an excellent gift associated with the Taurus star sign.

How to Use

Sodalite tumbled stones are for those who appreciate the contrast of natural blues and whites in their decor. An ideal element for a „blue” crystal bowl (lapis lazuli, aquamarine, blue chalcedony, turquoise). It shows particularly well in a natural wooden bowl or on a white stone base. Also perfect as a gift – its elegant, understated appearance appeals to everyone.

Why Choose This?

Sodalite is a more affordable yet equally beautiful alternative to lapis lazuli. The African sodalite stones offered by Természetkosár come from genuine import in natural form, so the characteristic blue-white pattern is a result of the stone's natural properties, not dyeing.
