The round cushion lifts the sitting bones and tilts the pelvis forward, raising the hips above the knees so the spine straightens without strain.
The mandala
A mandala is a concentric geometric pattern organised around a centre, a sacred image in the Hindu and Buddhist traditions and a classic aid to meditation. Tradition reads it as a symbol of wholeness and an inner centre — the outward-radiating circles draw the gaze and attention toward the middle, fitting for seated stillness.
Material & make
The cover is made from OCS-certified organic cotton, and the inner fill is natural buckwheat hulls. The hulls hold a supportive shape yet give a little, so the cushion settles under the body. Shown here in white. Approximate size 33 × 17 cm.
How to use it
For seated meditation, breathing and focused practice. The clean white ground and the mandala bring a calm, ordered mood to a meditation corner.
Care & good to know
The cover closes at the base, so the buckwheat fill can be topped up or thinned at any time. Hand washing in cold water is recommended; remove the filling first. The living texture of the cotton and small differences in shade are part of its handmade character.
Kept near a quiet corner, it stays within reach for the moments when there is time to settle inward.
