The Gayatri Mantra
The Gayatri Mantra is one of the most revered verses of the Vedic tradition, addressed to the sun as the source of light. Tradition knows it as a prayer for an illumined mind and inner clarity, and as a recurring companion to meditation and contemplation. On the cushion the sacred verse lends practice a respectful, quiet emphasis.
OCS-certified organic cotton, buckwheat filling
The cushion is made from OCS 100 certified organic cotton: the dyed outer cover is GOTS-certified organic cotton with a zip at the bottom, and the undyed inner cover closes with a drawstring. The filling is high-quality natural buckwheat hulls that mould to the body and give a seat that is firm yet yielding. The height can be adjusted to taste: less filling for a lower seat, more for a higher one.
How to use it
For meditation, mantra practice and quiet sitting. It belongs in a home meditation corner or a studio alike. It measures about 33 × 17 cm.
Care
We recommend hand washing the cover in lukewarm water; machine washing at 30 °C is also possible. Because of the natural dyeing the shade may vary slightly from piece to piece, and the natural material makes each one a little unique.
