The Flower of Life and the bolster form
The Flower of Life is the ancient geometric pattern evoking the unity of life, which tradition knows as a symbol of harmony and wholeness. A bolster is a densely packed, larger cushion that, placed under the back, legs or chest, supports the body in held yoga poses – so the breath can deepen and the shoulders soften.
OCS-certified organic cotton, buckwheat filling
The cushion is made from OCS 100 certified organic cotton: the dyed outer cover is GOTS-certified organic cotton with a zip at the bottom, and the undyed inner cover closes with a drawstring. The filling is high-quality natural buckwheat hulls that mould to the body and give a seat that is firm yet yielding. The height can be adjusted to taste: less filling for a lower seat, more for a higher one.
How to use it
As a raised seat for meditation, or as support for restorative and yin yoga. For home practice and the studio alike. It measures about 38 × 28 × 13 cm.
Care
We recommend hand washing the cover in lukewarm water; machine washing at 30 °C is also possible. Because of the natural dyeing the shade may vary slightly from piece to piece, and the natural material makes each one a little unique.
