The round cushion lifts the sitting bones, raises the hips above the knees and tilts the pelvis forward, so the spine straightens naturally — a balanced base for longer quiet sitting.
The bodhi leaf
The heart-shaped bodhi leaf is the distinctive leaf of the sacred fig (Ficus religiosa), which tradition ties to the tree of awakening — in whose shade the Buddha is said to have deepened his meditation. The leaf is a recurring emblem of awareness, mindfulness and inner awakening, a quiet nod to the roots of meditation.
Material & make
The cover is made from OCS-certified organic cotton, and the inner fill is natural buckwheat hulls. The hulls hold a supportive shape yet give a little, so the cushion settles under the body. Shown here in lilac. Approximate size 33 × 17 cm.
How to use it
For seated meditation, breathing and reflection. The soft lilac and the bodhi leaf bring a gentle, contemplative mood to a dedicated corner.
Care & good to know
The cover closes with a zip or drawstring at the base, so the filling can be topped up or thinned at any time. Hand washing in cold water is recommended; remove the buckwheat filling before washing. Slight differences in shade and the living texture of the cotton are part of the handmade character, not a flaw.
Kept near a quiet corner, it stays within reach for the moments when there is time to settle inward.
