A comfortable, stable seat for practice, the cover bearing the calm figure of the elephant-headed Ganesha. The buckwheat hull filling adapts to the body and helps keep the spine upright.
Ganesha, remover of obstacles
Ganesha is one of Hinduism's best-known gods, with the head of an elephant, revered as the remover of obstacles and the patron of beginnings. He is a symbol of wisdom and new starts; tradition often calls on him when beginning something new. On a meditation cushion he can be a quiet reminder of clear, unobstructed attention. These are traditional meanings, not facts.
Make and filling
The outer cover is cotton with a zip; the inner cushion is cotton with a drawstring close. The natural buckwheat hull filling holds its shape well, and the height can be set by adding or removing filling; a separate refill bag is available too. It measures 33 × 17 cm.
Care
The cover can be washed by hand in cold to lukewarm water, or in the machine at 30°C. Because of different dye baths, the shade may vary slightly between batches – a natural trait of textiles.
