This set holds all seven crescent meditation cushions – one in each of the seven main chakra colours, with the matching symbol on the handle. The curved form sits in front of crossed legs and gently supports the thighs, so longer sitting stays comfortable.
The seven chakras in tradition
The yoga and tantra tradition recognises seven main chakras, subtle energy centres along the body's midline, from the base of the spine to the crown of the head. The set follows the full sequence: from the red root chakra (Muladhara) through the orange, yellow, green, blue and indigo centres to the violet crown chakra (Sahasrara). These ideas belong to the tradition of the chakra system and offer themes of inward attention for practice.
