The crescent-shaped meditation cushion curves softly in front of crossed legs and gently supports the thighs – for many a more comfortable seat than a fully round cushion. The Ajna in tradition
Yoga and tantra recognise seven main chakras, subtle energy centres along the body's midline. The Ajna is, in this tradition, said to belong to the brow, between the eyebrows. It is known as the centre of intuition, insight and clear seeing; tradition links it to alert attention and inner vision. All of this belongs to the tradition of the chakra system and offers themes of inward attention for practice.
