The role of the crescent shape
The crescent-shaped meditation cushion is designed to support your pelvis steadily while leaving your thighs free to spread naturally. The higher rear edge gently tilts the pelvis forward, which helps the spine find a straight yet relaxed posture. During longer sitting, your lower back tires less and your breath naturally deepens.
Organic cotton cover, lilac shade
The cover is made from organic cotton, a soft and breathable material. The lilac tone is calm yet softly distinctive: it suits natural mats, wooden floors or a simple Scandinavian interior. The removable cover can be gently washed at thirty degrees, so the cushion will accompany your practice in fresh condition for many years.
Buckwheat hull filling
Inside the cushion you will find buckwheat hulls, a special and softly adapting filling. The hulls shift slightly under your weight and flow exactly where support is needed most. You will get a firm yet gently shaping seat that does not sink like ordinary foam, and it holds its height even during long practice.
When and how to use it
It suits morning seated meditation, breathing practice, mantra chanting or the quiet close of a yoga class. You may sit on it kneeling, cross-legged or in a near-lotus pose, and turn the arc of the crescent outward to fit the line of your pelvis. Before long practice, check that the cushion stands on a firm surface and does not slip on the mat.
Care and storage
From time to time, remove the cover and wash it gently at thirty degrees. Do not put the buckwheat hull filling in water: water swells and ruins it. If the seat flattens with time, knead the cushion gently so the hulls rearrange. Stored in a dry, airy place, it keeps its comfortable support for years.
