Meditation Cushion – 6th Chakra (Ajna), Embroidered Symbol, indigo

Indigo meditation cushion with the embroidered symbol of the 6th chakra (Ajna), in a cotton cover with a buckwheat hull filling. A stable, raised seat. Size 33

On a indigo ground, the embroidered symbol of the 6th chakra, the Ajna, appears – a meaningful yet calm decoration in the meditation corner. The cushion lifts the pelvis so the spine keeps its natural curve, keeping quiet sitting comfortable for longer.

The Ajna in tradition

The yoga and tantra tradition recognises seven main chakras, subtle energy centres along the line of the spine. The Ajna is, in this tradition, said to belong to the brow, between the eyebrows. It is known as the centre of intuition, insight and clear seeing; tradition links it to alert attention and inner vision. These ideas belong to the tradition of the chakra system and offer themes for inward attention and meditation.

Material and make

Height adjusts with the amount of filling, so the seat suits your own build.

What it's for

For meditation, breathing practice and quiet sitting. The embroidered symbol turns attention to the themes of the Ajna, and is a meaningful, respectful decoration for the practice spot.

Care

Hand wash in cold to lukewarm water, or machine wash at 30°C.
