Mastic resin is made from the dried droplets of the Greek Pistacia lentiscus evergreen bush. You receive a 5 piece pack in which each tube contains around 17 g of pure resin in a cardboard tube.
What exactly you receive
Five cardboard tubes, each holding around 17 g of mastic resin, for a total of about 85 g of purely natural resin. The cardboard tube packaging keeps the resin dry and aromatic.
How you can use it
Mastic is part of many traditional church and purification incenses. Traditionally it is described as awakening, introspective and clarifying. Many people use it before morning meditation or for home-blessing style rituals.
How to use on charcoal
Place a charcoal tablet in a heat-resistant dish, light it, and wait for the thin white ash layer to form. Only then sprinkle on a few grains of mastic resin. The scent is soft, with a faintly sweet and piny note.
On a sieve burner
On a sieve burner, the burn is slower, so the delicate mastic fragrance releases more evenly and becomes less intense.
Origin and distribution
The raw material is Greek Pistacia lentiscus, and the cardboard tube packaging is supplied from Germany by a reliable source. You receive five pieces in one order unit (this pack is sold as 5 pcs together).
Safety
Burn the resin on a heat-resistant surface in a well-ventilated room. Never leave the ember unattended, and keep it away from children and pets.
