Sound and character
The bag-included KOTAMO offers the same endless, floating D sound as the base version: a 30-string monochord surface with a deep, undulating carpet of sound, a harp-like 12-string koto and a buzzing tambura in one body. The bag is built to Feeltone workshop standards so the instrument's tuning and finish remain protected on the road.
How to use
This version is for those who carry the instrument regularly – to sessions, sound circles, festivals. The bag protects against dust, knocks and temperature changes. With the template you can set the koto bridges in koto, GuCheng or guitarist position; the tambura is tuned D, d, d, a; and the koto is D-diatonic, starting in B minor, so you have two scales in one position.
Why this product
If you work as a mobile sound therapist, travelling sound artist or ceremony leader, the bag-included KOTAMO has everything in one package: Feeltone's flagship and the proper protection. You don't need to source a separate bag, and you can be sure the instrument survives every journey.
Care tips
- Always return the instrument to the bag after use, especially in damp spaces.
- Play the monochord surface with soft, long finger sweeps for the richest carpet of sound.
- Check the bag straps regularly and keep the textile dry.
- Before long storage, slightly slacken the strings.
