Sound and character
The travel set delivers the full KOTAMO sound anywhere: a 30-string monochord surface tuned to D with an endless floating sound carpet, a harp-like 12-string koto and a buzzing 4-string tambura. The round stand's extensions let you play the instrument at a comfortable height – standing, sitting or adjusted for different sound circles.
How to use
This configuration is built for mobile professionals. After transporting in the bag, the round stand with extensions can be set up in moments, so you can run a session, festival or demonstration without dragging extra gear. The koto bridges can be set with the template into koto, GuCheng or guitarist position; the koto is D-diatonic, starting in B minor.
Why this product
If you are a travelling sound therapist, sound artist or teacher, the travel set bundles it all: Feeltone's flagship, proper protection and a flexible stand system. One decision solves transport, protection and setup – and the instrument arrives in tune at the next venue.
Care tips
- Always extend the round stand symmetrically on both sides so the instrument doesn't lean.
- After transport, let the instrument acclimatise to room temperature for 10–15 minutes before fine-tuning.
- Keep the bag dry and check the buckles from time to time.
- On the monochord surface, soft long finger sweeps create the richest sound carpet.
