A warm, woody-character oil burner on the table, the Tree of Life motif carved on its surface — this object is not merely a utility piece but a defining ornament on its own in a meditation corner or on a living-room shelf. At 12.5 cm it has a serious presence, and the natural tone of the wood makes the room feel more homely.
The Tree of Life motif
The Tree of Life is an ancient symbol of nature, connections and the cycle of life — appearing across cultures from mythology to modern decoration. The carved surface details show the roots, trunk and crown finely worked into a single composition. The mango wood grain is visible between the carved details, so the object is at once decorative and naturally living in character.
How to use
For essential oil, first pour a little water into the top dish and add a few drops of oil to the water; a soy wax melt can go into the dish without water. Never drop oil into the dish without water. Then light a tealight in the lower compartment, and the warmth gradually diffuses the scent. The holder is stable, but the dish gets hot while the tealight burns and the wood can warm up too, so only handle it once it has cooled. One tealight burns for about 4–5 hours: keep an eye on the water meanwhile and top it up before it runs out. Always place on a stable, heat-resistant surface, keep away from flammable objects, and never leave it unattended.
Care
The surface cleans easily with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth. Rinse the top dish regularly with warm water and a little washing-up liquid — this removes essential oil residue. Do not place in a dishwasher, and do not leave it in water — the wood may warp from moisture. Once a year, a drop of natural wood oil helps preserve the surface quality.
