A row of warm, light wooden beads with decorative accents and a dorje charm, on an elastic cord – wearable as a bracelet too, an everyday companion.
Wooden mala with dorje
This mala has 108 wooden beads, three decorative beads and a dorje (vajra) charm, strung on an elastic cord. The dorje is a symbol of Tibetan Buddhism, representing the unshakeable and the power of the enlightened mind. Thanks to the elastic cord the mala also wears easily as a bracelet. These are traditional and cultural ideas, not medical claims.
The 108-bead mala
A mala is the prayer strand of the Hindu and Buddhist traditions, originally used to count mantras in meditation. A larger guru bead closes the 108 beads, standing for wisdom, while the small cylinder above it represents emptiness. The beads pass one by one between the fingers while attention rests on the meaning and vibration of the words.
How to use it
Hold the mala in your hand during meditation or mantra recitation and move from bead to bead; through the day it can be worn wrapped around the wrist.
Material and craft
Made of natural wooden beads with three decorative beads and a dorje charm, on an elastic cord. A 108-bead strand, about 36 cm long. Being a natural material, each piece is unique: shade and pattern may vary slightly.
Good to know
Keep it dry, wipe it with a soft cloth, and avoid harsh chemicals. The meaning attached to it comes from tradition and is not a medical effect.
