A row of cool-grey labradorite beads with flashes of blue-green light – a mysterious, deep companion for meditation.
The stone of labradorite
Labradorite is a feldspar mineral recognised by its characteristic blue-green play of light (labradorescence), which flashes from within the stone at certain angles. Tradition knows it as a stone of protection and strengthening the aura, a companion to intuition and depth. These are traditional ideas, not medical claims.
The 108-bead mala
A mala is the prayer strand of the Hindu and Buddhist traditions, originally used to count mantras in meditation. A larger guru bead closes the 108 beads, standing for wisdom, while the small cylinder above it represents emptiness. The beads pass one by one between the fingers while attention rests on the meaning and vibration of the words.
How to use it
Hold the mala in your hand during meditation or mantra recitation and move from bead to bead; through the day it can be worn wrapped around the wrist.
Material and craft
Made of natural labradorite beads. A 108-bead strand, about 31 cm long. Being a natural material, each piece is unique: shade and pattern may vary slightly. It comes with a decorative pouch that protects it and frames it nicely as a gift.
Good to know
Keep it dry, wipe it with a soft cloth, and avoid harsh chemicals. The meaning attached to it comes from tradition and is not a medical effect.
