Four shades of blue
This mala has 108 polished beads of approximately 8 mm. It combines four gemstones: pale sky-blue angelite, deeper blue aventurine, dark blue sodalite and cool white moonstone. Together the four colours create a calm, water-like effect that feels pleasant in the hand.
The moon and star charm
The mala is finished with a decorative moon and star charm and a tassel. The moon and star symbol is associated in many traditions with intuition, guidance and personal growth. The small weight of the charm gives a gentle anchor for your hand during meditation.
The role of the number 108
The number 108 holds special meaning in Hindu and Buddhist traditions. In these traditions the 108 beads represent spiritual completeness and are used to count mantra repetitions during meditation. The number also appears in other religious, philosophical and astronomical systems, giving it a wide cultural background.
Everyday use
You can use the mala for quiet meditation, for mantra counting or simply wear it as a necklace. Some people save it for special occasions, while others wear it daily. The four cool tones combine equally well with light and dark clothing.
Looking after the mala
Wipe gently with a soft, dry cloth. Angelite and moonstone can be sensitive to water and chemicals, so it is best to take the mala off before showering or swimming. Each piece arrives in a paper envelope with an informational flyer.
