Japanese sandalwood in a bambooless incense stick
Mainichi-Koh incense has been produced in Japan since 1912 and is one of the most loved Japanese sticks. It is made without a bamboo core, so during burning only the scent of the ingredients is noticeable, without any woody or charcoal smell. Each pack contains five 35-gram boxes, providing a longer-lasting supply.
A single stick
One stick is 22 centimetres long and burns for around 55 minutes. A single lit stick can accompany you through a longer read, a calm evening routine, or a shared conversation. The sticks burn evenly, so you do not need to watch them constantly while the smoke gently fills the room.
When to light it
Many people light it in the morning to create a calm atmosphere at home. Others use it in the evening, before going to bed, when they want to let go of the day. You can also choose it for reading, meditation, or simply when you wish to take a small moment for yourself and enjoy the warm, woody scent of sandalwood.
Step by step use
Place the stick in a stable incense holder, light one end, then blow out the flame so that the ember remains. The stick will continue to burn on its own. Keep it on a heat-resistant surface, away from curtains and out of reach of children. After use, make sure the ash is fully cooled before disposing of it.
Storage and pack format
Keep the remaining boxes in a dry, cool place, closed. This way the scent and shape of the sticks last for a long time. The five 35-gram boxes are practical because you only need to open one box at a time, the others stay closed in the meantime.
