The 7.8 x 6.9 x 6.9 cm golden lotus holder
This compact, lotus-flower-shaped incense burner was made in China, of zinc alloy with a golden-coloured surface. The top lid is decorated with the eight Tibetan auspicious symbols (Ashtamangala), and the relief details are fine and intricate. The golden tone gives a bright, festive effect, so it works particularly well on a white or dark wooden shelf, on top of a bedroom dresser or in a meditation corner.
For both stick and cone
After removing the lid, a stick can be inserted into the holder, or a cone placed on top. Many of our customers also use the bag of sand available separately (product no. 10118): a stick inserted into sand stands even more steadily, and a cone burns more evenly, releasing less smoke at once.
The tradition of the eight auspicious symbols
In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the eight auspicious symbols mean the following: the precious parasol (protection), the pair of golden fish (happiness), the treasure vase (wealth), the lotus (purity), the right-coiled conch (good news), the glorious knot (continuity), the victory banner (success) and the wheel (teaching). Together they represent a full, blessed life. If these symbols matter to you aesthetically or spiritually, this holder can be a visual companion to your meditation.
The zinc alloy and the golden colour
The body is made of non-toxic, easy-to-clean and recyclable zinc alloy. The 132 g weight keeps the holder steady on the surface. The golden colour is provided by a surface coating fired onto the metal at high temperature, ensuring durability. The golden tone is particularly fitting for festive occasions – alongside a Christmas table decoration, as a birthday gift or to enhance the mood of a calm dinner.
How to place and maintain it
Place it on a heat-resistant flat surface, keeping a 30 cm safety distance from curtains and paper. The lid warms during use, so lift it with a kitchen cloth or wait for it to cool. Use a soft dry cloth for cleaning; avoid strong chemicals, as these may fade the golden coating. Ash can easily be tipped out by tilting the holder.
