The 7.8 x 6.9 x 6.9 cm bronze lotus holder
This compact, lotus-flower-shaped incense burner was made in China, of zinc alloy with a bronze-coloured surface. The top lid is decorated with the eight Tibetan auspicious symbols (Ashtamangala), and the details are finely shaped. The bronze tone gives a warmer, darker effect than the copper version, and works particularly well in a room with a natural palette, on a wooden shelf or in a meditation corner.
For stick and cone incense
After removing the lid, a thinner stick can be inserted into the holder, or a cone can be placed on top. If you order sand separately (product no. 10118), the stick stands even more steadily, and a cone burns more evenly. This way, you do not need to obtain two different holders for the two types of incense.
The eight Tibetan auspicious symbols
In Tibetan Buddhist tradition, the eight auspicious symbols comprise the precious parasol, the pair of golden fish, the treasure vase, the lotus, the right-coiled conch, the glorious knot, the victory banner and the wheel. Together they symbolise the fullness of blessing, a balanced life and spiritual protection. If you are interested in this tradition or like the detailed engraving aesthetically, this holder also gives a visual experience.
The zinc-alloy material and the bronze colour
The body is made of non-toxic, easy-to-clean and recyclable zinc alloy. The 131 g weight keeps the holder steady on the surface, despite the compact size. The bronze colour is given by a surface coating fired onto the metal at high temperature, ensuring durability. The bronze tone pairs particularly well with a wooden shelf or with burgundy or green textiles.
Safety and care
Place it on a heat-resistant surface, keeping a 30 cm safety distance from curtains and paper. During use the lid warms up, so use a kitchen cloth to remove it, or wait for it to cool. We recommend a soft dry cloth for cleaning. Avoid strong chemicals, as these may fade the bronze-coloured surface coating. Ash can easily be tipped out by tilting the holder.
