A silver-rimmed lotus mood light in the violet colour of the seventh chakra, the Sahasrara. The cool silver frame gives the warm shade a moonlit, clean mood.
Meaning of the Sahasrara chakra
Tradition links the lotus to the seven energy centres, the chakras; the flower is an image of rising from murk toward light. In this view the seventh chakra (Sahasrara) relates to the crown of the head and is associated with spiritual connection, awareness and unity; its colour is violet. The lamp's light evokes that mood.
Material and finish
Capiz is the translucent shell of the windowpane oyster (Placuna placenta), named after the town of Capiz on the Philippine island of Panay. Cleaned, it becomes translucent; painted, it plays gently with the light. A natural material, so small irregularities may appear – part of its handmade charm. The petals are held by a silver frame.
Light and mood
A tealight glows through the capiz petals, creating a soft, warm shimmer. For safety, a LED tealight is recommended. The piece measures about 13.5×5.5 cm. It looks lovely in a yoga space, a meditation corner or beside the bed – alone or as part of the full chakra series.
Good to know
As capiz is a natural material, each piece is unique and the shade may vary slightly. A soft, dry cloth is enough for cleaning.
