A lotus-shaped mood light in the violet colour of the seventh chakra, the Sahasrara, with a gold rim. Lit, it fills the corner with a warm, colourful light.
About the Sahasrara chakra
The lotus is a symbol of the path from darkness into light, and tradition also links it to the seven energy centres, the chakras. In tradition the seventh chakra, the Sahasrara, is connected to the crown of the head and associated with spiritual connection, awareness and unity; its symbolic colour is violet. This mood light brings that colour and mood into the space.
Material and finish
Capiz is the translucent outer shell of a marine mollusc, Placuna placenta (the windowpane oyster). It takes its name from the town of Capiz on the Philippine island of Panay. Once cleaned, the shell turns translucent, and when painted it lets light and colour play together. Capiz is a natural material, so small irregularities may appear. The petals are held by a gold frame.
Light and mood
The petals are made of translucent capiz panes on a fine metal frame. The light of a tealight glows softly through them, casting a warm shimmer. For safety, a LED tealight is recommended. It measures about 13.5×5.5 cm. A lovely accent for a meditation corner, a yoga space or an evening wind-down – on its own or as part of the chakra series.
Good to know
Capiz is a natural material, so each piece is unique and the shade may vary slightly. Clean with a soft, dry cloth.
