A silver-rimmed lotus mood light in the indigo colour of the sixth chakra, the Ajna. The cool silver frame gives the warm shade a moonlit, clean mood.
Meaning of the Ajna chakra
Tradition links the lotus to the seven energy centres, the chakras; the flower is an image of rising from murk toward light. In this view the sixth chakra (Ajna) relates to the centre of the forehead and is associated with intuition, clear seeing and inner wisdom; its colour is indigo. The lamp's light evokes that mood.
Material and finish
Capiz is the translucent shell of the windowpane oyster (Placuna placenta), named after the town of Capiz on the Philippine island of Panay. Cleaned, it becomes translucent; painted, it plays gently with the light. A natural material, so small irregularities may appear – part of its handmade charm. The petals are held by a silver frame.
Light and mood
A tealight glows through the capiz petals, creating a soft, warm shimmer. For safety, a LED tealight is recommended. The piece measures about 13.5×5.5 cm. It looks lovely in a yoga space, a meditation corner or beside the bed – alone or as part of the full chakra series.
Good to know
As capiz is a natural material, each piece is unique and the shade may vary slightly. A soft, dry cloth is enough for cleaning.
