What fits inside the 135×225 mm envelope?

The 135×225 mm outer format is ideal for the smallest products. It comfortably accommodates a pocket book, a slim volume of poetry, a jewellery box, an essential oil vial, a lip-care set or a small cosmetic sample. If the product is no thicker than roughly 1 to 1.5 cm and is flat, it will almost certainly fit. For webshop use we recommend always taking the thickness of the bubble lining into account when assessing usable interior space.

How is the envelope sealed, and can it be reopened?

An adhesive strip runs along the upper edge of the envelope, protected by a release liner. Once the liner is removed, the flap folds down and the adhesive bonds permanently, in a single pass. Your customer opens it simply by tearing along the top. After this the envelope cannot be resealed — which also provides a guarantee of integrity, since the recipient can immediately tell whether the parcel has been opened in transit.

How environmentally friendly is this compared to conventional plastic mailers?

Accepted Answer

The outer paper layer is made from recycled fibres and can be handled as paper waste after use. The inner bubble lining is also largely recyclable, although in some local separation schemes the two materials may need to be separated. Overall this solution has significantly lower plastic content than fully plastic poly mailers, and the main structural element is made from a renewable material (paper).
