A large gift box made of brown kraft cardboard. Assembled, it is 28 cm wide, 12.5 cm deep and 26 cm high. At the top its two side panels meet by a handle cut into the board. You get one box, made in China.
Room for several gifts
It is much roomier than its small 20 × 10 × 20 cm sibling, so you can put a few things together. A candle with a bar of soap, a packet of tea and a card, say. Or a folded shawl and a room fragrance.
For a Christmas parcel for the neighbours, a few slices of poppy seed or walnut roll wrapped in baking paper, a bag of mulled wine spices and a small candle would do nicely. A present for the children's teacher can be put together the same way.
Widest at the base, it takes the heaviest item at the bottom and lighter ones above. Fill any gaps with a handful of shredded paper or straw before you close it.
Folding it in three steps
Delivered flat, it needs folding. Lay it with the inside facing up, lift both handle panels and open the side folds. Finally line up the two handles. The card is already cut and creased, so you need neither glue nor scissors.
Kraft brown with twine
Kraft is the natural brown of plain wrapping paper. When you tie it with jute ribbon or twine, you can thread it through the handle holes too. You can also get the large box in cream and black, if you want to tell parcels apart by colour.
Handed over in person, it needs nothing more. To post it, put it inside a larger carton, as the top does not lock and the side panels simply meet at the handle. Empty, the box weighs 330 g.
