When the small box is too tight
A candle fits in the small box, but a candle, a soap and a bag of coffee together may be a squeeze. That is what the large size is for, when you want to give several things in one parcel. It stands on a 28 × 12.5 cm base, so a gift of several pieces has room. If the pieces are small, fill the gaps with shredded paper so they do not move about.
Black is understated and goes with many kinds of gift. The box is black inside too, so no brown card shows when it is opened. For a man, you might put in a shaving soap, a scented candle and a bar of dark chocolate.
A ribbon on black
White, gold or natural jute ribbon all stand out on black card. Thread it through the handle holes and tie a bow, and the top stays closed when you put the box down. There is no catch or magnet, so put it inside a larger carton before posting it.
Folding and storing
We send it folded flat. Lay it inside up, lift the handle panels, open the side folds and bring the handles together. No glue needed. Until you fold it, it fits in the bottom of a drawer. Empty, the box weighs 330 g.
