The larger, black and grey version of the crown bed. Its base is 60 × 60 cm, it is 26 cm high and weighs 1 kg. It is black outside and grey inside, with a deeply padded base. The cover is polyester, the filling synthetic fibre, and it is made in China.
More enclosed, more room
The high back and sides make a more enclosed bed than a flat cushion. It is meant for cats and small dogs, and the 60 × 60 cm base is roomier than the 50 × 50 cm medium crown. Its 26 cm wall is also taller than the sides of the rectangular beds in this line.
Go for the large one if your pet would be cramped in the medium crown, or likes to stretch its legs out while it sleeps.
Black outside, grey inside
Black and grey tone down the playful crown shape. It suits modern dark furniture, a charcoal sofa or grey tiles.
One practical point: pale hair shows more on the black cover. If your pet is white or ginger, have a look at the sand and grey crown too. You can lift hair off the black cover with a clothes brush or a sticky lint roller, and dark hair hardly shows on it.
Unpacking and settling in
It comes vacuum-packed. Shake it out, knead the wall and the cushion, then leave it in a warm room for a few days so it can gradually regain its shape. You can put it in its place in the meantime.
Although it is 160 g heavier than the medium crown, it is still easy to move with one hand when you clean or when your pet wants to sleep somewhere else.
