Alder body with a burl veneer playing surface
The La Perù EVO cajon has a body made of solid, stained alder, a beech back panel and a striking burl design veneer playing surface. The playing surface is partly glued and partly screwed to the body, which creates the clearly separated bass tone typical of the La Perù series. The instrument is made in Germany.
Round bass and precise snare response
The alder body reinforces a deep, controlled bass, while the 2x4 snare strings fanned out on the back of the playing surface deliver a rich, very precise snare sound. All four string pairs can be adjusted separately, so you can set the response exactly the way you like it - from a dry, quiet snare to a lively, crisp rattle. An internal muffle pad helps to tame unwanted overtones.
What styles is it good for?
This is a truly versatile cajon: it works equally well for acoustic guitar accompaniment, vocal groups, casual playing and stage use. If you are coming from another percussion instrument, you will feel at home quickly - the cajon is played sitting on it, with your hands, covering both the bass drum and snare drum roles at once.
Measurements and included extras
The cajon measures approx. 30 x 30 x 50 cm and weighs 6.1 kg - a comfortable seating height that is still easy to carry. A wool felt seat cushion is included, keeping longer practice sessions comfortable.
