Krishna mini statuette – brass, 4 cm

Krishna mini brass statuette, 4 cm, hand-cast in India. In a colourful bag – ideal for a shelf, desk or small altar.

The flute-playing god of love in miniature

Krishna is the Hindu deity recognised by his blue skin and the flute in his hand, perhaps the most beloved figure in the entire Hindu tradition. This 4 centimetre, hand-cast brass statuette preserves the classic pose: a soft bend in the body, flute raised to the lips. As if a quiet melody could begin at any moment.

Why might Krishna interest you?

According to Hindu tradition, Krishna is the god of love, strength and peace. For some he is simply a beautiful cultural piece, for others a meditation aid, and others bring this statuette home as readers of the Bhagavad Gita – a sacred text containing Krishna's words on how to live a meaningful, good life.

A tiny object with great presence

It would fit in a matchbox – yet it is a precisely finished piece. The flute, the fine folds of the robe and Krishna's smiling features are all clearly visible. The little bag in which it arrives is vibrantly coloured fabric, making it a gift in itself.

Where to place it at home?

These mini statuettes can find a place almost anywhere: on a bookshelf, a desk, a small home altar, even on the dashboard of a car. A single statuette is discreet – an entire “mini pantheon” (Vishnu, Ganesh, Green Tara, Saraswati, Shiva) creates a quite special little collection.

A few small notes

Brass naturally darkens into a patina over the years, which many people particularly enjoy. To restore the original golden shine, polish gently with a soft cloth and a little brass polish. Avoid contact with water and chemicals, as these will wear it more quickly.
