In this Ispalla variant fine Palo Santo powder is paired with myrrh resin. Myrrh adds a warmer, slightly smokier and balsamic note that nicely complements the sweet, woody character of Palo Santo. The sticks are hand-made in Peru, rolled around a stabilising bamboo core.
What myrrh resin is
Myrrh is a golden-brown resin that has been used for incense for a very long time. You may recognise it by its warm, slightly balsamic, long-lasting aroma. Combined with Palo Santo it offers a scent profile that suits a calm evening at home, a slow autumn afternoon or a longer time of rest.
What you receive in the box
The cardboard display holds twelve separate small packs, each with around 13 g of sticks. This format is a good choice for you if you already know you would like to enjoy the Palo Santo–myrrh aroma for a longer time, or if you would like to share with family members. The separate packs store well.
Origin and handcraft
The sticks are hand-made in Peru from Palo Santo (Bursera graveolens) powder, myrrh resin, distilled water and a bamboo core. The wood used comes only from naturally fallen branches. Information on the display is given in English and Spanish.
How to use it comfortably
Take a stick from a small pack and light the tip. Let it burn with a flame for a few seconds, then blow it out. The glowing end will continue to smoulder on its own. Place it in a heat-resistant holder and the soft, balsamic smoke will slowly fill the room – one stick gives around 50 minutes of fragrance.
Storage and warning
Unopened small packs kept in the original box in a cool, dry place will keep their character for a long time. Never leave a burning stick unattended, keep it away from children and pets, and ventilate the room from time to time. Because of the natural ingredients, small variations in aroma between packs are entirely normal.
