Introducing the 33 cm Ishana bowl
The 33 cm Ishana is one of the most popular larger sizes in the series. The internal volume of the body produces a deeper base tone, and the thick alloy wall gives a long sustained resonance. The black and gold surface shows a brighter or more subdued face as light changes, making it a decorative piece in your home.
Producing the tone
Place the bowl on a soft cushion or a wooden stand and gently tap the side with the included wooden striker. A slow, firm tap gives a single full hum. Rubbing the rim in a circular pattern produces a continuous, higher vibration. With a few minutes of practice you will find your own motion and enjoy the clear sound.
Use at home
Many of our customers play it during a morning routine, others use it for end-of-day quietude. Its tone suits breathing practice, reading or a short attention break. As a decorative piece it sits well on display, so you do not need to put it away between uses, and it can spark conversation when you have guests.
Material and origin
The bowl is made of metal alloy and comes from a manufacturer in India. The black base and gold pattern are applied by hand, so your piece shows a unique drawing. The thick wall holds the tone steadily and, with careful handling, keeps the original note for a long time.
Care
Clean with a dry or slightly damp soft cloth and avoid abrasive cleaners, which can damage the gold pattern. Store in a dry place protected from direct sunlight and humidity. For longer storage, wrap in a soft cloth so the surface stays scratch-free.
