A deep, long-sustaining gong sound at 204 Hz
This distinctive, elongated tube-shaped gong is tuned precisely to 204 Hz. When struck, it produces a deep, full tone that fades away slowly - you do not just hear it, you can almost feel the gentle vibration in your body. 204 Hz is a pleasantly low pitch, roughly in the lower range of a male singing voice, which many people find very calming.
For sound baths, group sessions and quiet evenings at home
The manufacturer recommends this instrument especially for sound baths, and it pairs beautifully with the 136.1 Hz hand tubes (HRS7-136), letting you build a soothing soundscape from several timbres. If you are a sound therapist, yoga teacher or lead relaxation sessions, the deep gong tone gives you an excellent foundation. It is also a fine choice at home: one gentle stroke with the supplied mallet and the sound accompanies your rest for many seconds.
Dimensions, weight and the included mallet
The gong is 146.5 cm long, 17.5 cm wide and 18.5 cm high, weighing approximately 5.8 kg. The MA106 mallet is included, so you can play it straight out of the box. The instrument is made in Germany with careful craftsmanship.
How to play it
Strike the gong softly with the supplied mallet: the gentler the stroke, the softer and rounder the tone. A firmer stroke makes the sound fuller and louder. It is worth trying different strengths to find the sound that best suits your sessions or your own relaxation.
