Indian Silver-Plated Cross Pendant with Rose Quartz Stones, on Chain

Indian silver-plated cross with pale pink rose quartz stones, on a silver-coloured chain of about 45 cm. For First Communion or a name day.

A silver-plated cross set with small, pale pink rose quartz stones, hanging on a thin silver-coloured chain. The chain is about 45 cm long, and the whole necklace weighs about 9 g. Made in India.

Pale pink stones

Rose quartz is the pink form of quartz, and its soft, powdery colour comes from tiny mineral fibres inside the stone. It sparkles quietly on the silvery cross. Pastel and white clothes suit it best, but you can wear it with grey or navy too.

In strong, direct sunshine the colour of rose quartz can fade over time. When you are not wearing it, keep it in a drawer or a box. It is a hard stone, so everyday wear will not easily scratch it.

Rose quartz in tradition

Tradition calls rose quartz the stone of love and tenderness. That makes it a fitting gift from a mother to her daughter, or from a godmother to her goddaughter.

For First Communion or confirmation

The small cross makes a lovely gift for a First Communion, a confirmation or a name day. If it is a gift, the chain comes with the pendant, so there is no need to buy one separately. The fine chain and small cross are not too much for a young girl at her First Communion either, and the pale pink stones show softly against a white dress. At 9 g, it is comfortable to wear all day. On an adult, the 45 cm chain reaches the collarbone.

Being silver-plated, the pendant has a thin layer of silver over the metal; it is not solid silver. Take it off before bathing or swimming and keep it somewhere dry, so the plating stays bright for longer.
