Jasmine is one of the best-loved floral scents: sweet, lush and warmly blooming, a classic aroma of Indian evenings. It is hand-rolled to a masala recipe.
The jasmine scent
Jasmine releases its scent most strongly at night, which is why in many cultures it is the flower of evenings and romance. Its smoke is soft yet full, creating a pleasant, cheerful mood in a room.
Masala incense
Masala incense is not a single essential oil but a hand-kneaded blend of spices, resins and botanicals. This is what gives its smoke a full, layered and slowly unfolding character.
How to use
Place the stick in a heat-resistant incense holder, light the tip, then gently blow out the flame so it begins to smoulder. Always burn under supervision in a well-ventilated room, and keep away from children and flammable materials. It is about 22 cm long.
