The Protection Blend
Protection is a deeper, more resinous blend of frankincense, myrrh, benzoin and styrax. Its dense, warm, balsamic smoke is one that tradition holds as the scent of a sheltering, reassuring space.
Composition
Frankincense (boswellia papyrifera), myrrh (commiphora myrrha), benzoin (styrax benzoin) and styrax (styrax calamitus – sumatra).
How to Use
The resin is traditionally burned by sprinkling it onto glowing charcoal or an incense sieve; on a sieve the embers release the scent more slowly and gently. A few grains are plenty for one session. Use it in a well-ventilated room on a heatproof surface.
Good to Know
This is a natural resin, so the size, colour and shade of the grains may vary a little from piece to piece — the mark of a real, unprocessed material. Keep it well sealed in a cool, dry place and it will last a long time.
