Cathedral Dammar Resin
Cathedral is the pale, translucent resin of the dammar tree, with a clean, lightly balsamic-piney smoke. An airy, gentle scent that tradition associates with open, quiet spaces.
Composition
Dammar gum (shorea wiesneri – indonesia, the philippines and east india).
How to Use
The resin is traditionally burned by sprinkling it onto glowing charcoal or an incense sieve; on a sieve the embers release the scent more slowly and gently. A few grains are plenty for one session. Use it in a well-ventilated room on a heatproof surface.
Good to Know
This is a natural resin, so the size, colour and shade of the grains may vary a little from piece to piece — the mark of a real, unprocessed material. Keep it well sealed in a cool, dry place and it will last a long time.
