Handmade incense sticks from the Marco Polo's Treasures line, in the spirit of red myrrh – a warm, deep, balsamic smoke for meditation, for tuning a space, or for a calm moment.
Red Myrrh
Myrrh is the resin of Commiphora trees, one of the oldest incense materials; red myrrh has a warm, deep, balsamic character and has been part of rituals for thousands of years. Myrrh gives a warm, balsamic, slightly bitter smoke. The calming mood attached to it is a traditional idea, not a medical effect.
Craft and use
The sticks are hand-rolled to an Indian masala recipe and carry Ecocert certification; they are about 22.7 cm long.
Safety and use
Place the stick in a suitable holder on a heat-resistant, stable surface, light the end, then blow out the flame so the ember smoulders. Never leave it burning unattended; ventilate the room and keep it away from flammable objects and children.
