Handmade incense sticks from the Marco Polo's Treasures line, in the spirit of olibanum migiurtino – a deep, full, balsamic-resinous smoke for meditation, for tuning a space, or for a calm moment.
Olibanum Migiurtino
Olibanum (frankincense) is the resin of Boswellia trees; the frankincense of the Migiurtino region (the north-eastern Horn of Africa) is known for a deep, full, balsamic-resinous character, a finely sourced variety of the classic ceremonial frankincense scent. The calming mood attached to it is a traditional idea, not a medical effect.
Craft and use
The sticks are hand-rolled to an Indian masala recipe and carry Ecocert certification; they are about 22.7 cm long.
Safety and use
Place the stick in a suitable holder on a heat-resistant, stable surface, light the end, then blow out the flame so the ember smoulders. Never leave it burning unattended; ventilate the room and keep it away from flammable objects and children.
