Handmade incense sticks from the Marco Polo's Treasures line, in the spirit of dammar resin – a fresh, balsamic smoke for meditation, for tuning a space, or for a calm evening moment.
Dammar resin
Dammar is the translucent, pale-yellow resin of Southeast Asian trees (mainly Shorea and related species), long used for incense and as a base for varnishes. Burned, it gives a fresh, lightly balsamic-citrus, clean smoke. The sticks are hand-rolled to an Indian masala recipe and carry Ecocert certification. The calming mood attached to it is a traditional idea, not a medical effect.
Craft and use
The sticks, about 22.7 cm long, are hand-rolled. Place a stick in a suitable holder on a heat-resistant, stable surface, light the end, then blow out the flame so the ember smoulders.
Safety
Never leave it burning unattended. Ventilate the room and keep it away from flammable objects and children.
