An instrument that fits into your bag
The Hluru travel tongue drum measures only 26 centimetres in diameter, yet produces a depth of tone that feels much larger than its compact body suggests. If you have ever wished to carry the calm of meditative sound with you on a journey, into the garden or to a weekend retreat, this is the instrument made for you. The carefully finished copper steel body ensures that every note retains its clarity.
The ancient calm of A-minor
The eight notes form an A-minor Aeolian scale, spanning from A3 to C5. This is one of the oldest scales in human music, used for centuries by folk traditions to express inwardness, quiet reflection and gentle rocking calm. Many listeners feel that the Aeolian mode pairs especially well with evening relaxation, breathing exercises and meditative moments.
How to play it
The package includes two types of mallets: traditional sticks and finger mallets. The sticks bring out fuller, more defined tones, while the finger mallets let you caress the tongues softly. Even as a beginner you do not need to worry; the notes resonate beautifully at a single touch, and the included instruction booklet guides your first steps.
How it fits into everyday life
This instrument can bring joy in many ways. You may use it for morning grounding, evening unwinding, lulling children to sleep, or simply to add a calm note to a family dinner. The included carry bag protects it during transit, so you can confidently place it in your hand luggage for a longer weekend away.
Durable craftsmanship
The corrosion-resistant copper steel keeps the tones clear for many years, so this instrument is not a one-time experience but a faithful companion for the long term. You hold in your hands a patented design trusted by both home enthusiasts and travelling musicians.
