Substantial size, decisive presence
This salt lamp is one of the largest pieces in the classic range: about 26-28 cm tall and around 10 kg in weight. It has the presence of a fireplace in the corner — when switched on, the warm amber light embraces half the room. You receive a large, hand-finished salt crystal that works as a centrepiece on the living-room shelf, the bedroom bedside table or in the corner of a spacious office.
The acacia base and stability
The 10 kg crystal is held by a strong, dark acacia wood base. Do not be alarmed by the weight: that is exactly what makes the lamp rock-stable, so it will not tip over even if a child or cat brushes past. We recommend sticking felt pads to the bottom of the base to prevent scratches on the furniture if you ever slide it across.
Larger surface, more noticeable effect
The ionising effect of a salt lamp is proportional to the size of the surface — the larger the crystal, the larger the area through which negative ions can be released. That is why we particularly recommend this larger version to those who want to feel cleaner air in a larger space, such as an office or a living room. The effect is subtle and lasting if you keep the lamp on regularly.
LED light for long evenings
The included E14 LED bulb can last up to ten thousand operating hours, so even if you switch it on every evening for reading, watching films or meditation, it will serve you for years. Its consumption is low, so the long use will not noticeably load your electricity bill. If you ever want a warmer, more golden light, you can swap it for a traditional E14 bulb at any time.
Packaging, shipping and first use
The lamp arrives in a cardboard box with a doubly padded inner layer, so the crystal will not be damaged during shipping. Unpack it with both hands and place it on a firm, level surface. On first switch-on you may notice a natural mineral scent for a few hours — this is normal and fades within a few days. Keep the lamp away from humid rooms, the bathroom and the kitchen, and do not place it above a radiator.
